Laced

So I tried out the whole exposed lace idea and I would save this particular outfit for the ambiance of evenings. For your daily 9 to 5, I'd try a high waisted skirt with some volume and maybe a cropped vest. I do love love love lace though, especially when worn as a top layer.

Note on the bracelets: they're stretchy & you're supposed to hang beads from them but they looked so good bare that I just let them be.

In Theory

I've been dying to wear these Theory shorts. They're the perfect piece to dress up or down or go from day to night with the switch of a shoe. I'm thinking maybe a cropped jacket, or a slim cut boyfriend blazer or or or... :)

Problem #1 with tube tops - they never quite feel like they're in the right place.

Gold Thread Ahead

I thoroughly enjoy dual purpose threads like this shirt/dress. I could easily throw this over jeans or work in a great pair of heels for a super leggy effect. For me it's all about the right length, or actually lack thereof - it needs to hit no more than half way down the thigh. Fellow short girls can fully understand this yearning for less fabric. So shouldn't our clothes be cheaper ;)

I know I wear these boots ALL the time, but they just go with everything! I have them in gray too but don't get that much wear out of them. I'll try though - I vowed to wear more color and I think I'm doing a pretty good job.

Like the green and white halter dress I wore before, this also has gold thread running all the way through the fabric that looks oh so shimmering glimmering when the light hits it.

I Shook My Tail Feather

There's very little I wouldn't do for a great peacock feather print and that includes wearing color. Anyone who knows me is privy to the fact that black, black and black are the primary colors in my closet color wheel.

But You Promised...

So "they" say that you should always only have one excuse for something. So my excuse for this late post is that I'd been setting up a garage sale all last week in preparation for the weekend's sale. There. You have it. But, I'm happy to say the garage sale was a HUGE success!

Alas, as the week was spent moving boxes, dragging bags and inhaling an exorbitant amount of dust, a fashionable moment did not transpire. So what better time to post something I promised to post a while ago: some photos from my trip to Philadelphia in June.

My sister and I were walkin', walkin', walkin' and happened upon the above situation. I have no idea what's going on but that is a mad cat. The eyes were...I can't even describe it - do click the photo to get a better look. Just to be safe though, I avoided all eye contact.
