Cavalli was one of my first fashion crushes. I seem to have a penchant for the Italian houses: Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Gianfranco Ferre, Prada...the list goes on. It's sexy, it's sleek and has that "look at me" attitude. Though I have yet to own anything from these houses sans some perfume, it doesn't mean I can't make a little something of my own.
I first saw this ad a while back and for some reason was so drawn to the belt that I decided I had to make one. Why? I have no idea. It's not particularly interesting, nor does it induce lustworthyness. But I had made up my mind and voila:
I took a belt from a trench coat and stud stud studded my way through the material and managed to get quite the look-a-like. I can probably wear it with the same black trench and feel like I have a brand new coat. What I'm most looking forward to doing is using it to replace the belts on my red, magenta and purple trench coats!
But even before allowing the belt to play its "official" role, I tried it out as makeshift suspenders and I really, really LOVE it!
